2008 Committee for Art Car Parade Better Enjoyment (CACBE)

Formally invites you to this year’s theme picnic “Drunk in Public, Dare to Etch A’ Sketch?”

Begins at 10:30 AM (for us at least)

This years event will take place this Saturday May 10th. Essentially, the Art Car Parade is one of the unique events in Houston and is a blast to watch and participate. The CACBE traditionally arrives a few hours early to enjoy the Art Car Tailgater.

1. Please indicate on your response whether you plan to meet us at 2503 Commonwealth Ave or the event.
2. Pack smartly. There is a long walk associated with the event (maybe half a mile or more). Think backpacking...

What to expect
We arrive, set up on a spot on Allen Parkway and have a picnic. During our picnic, we eat cold fried chicken (or whatever), sample Lorenzo s and Mimosas (BS pound vodka etc) and have fun. Oh least we not forget the fine cars on parade. It is a family event, seriously.

The CACBE Plan
We will arrive at 2503 Commonwealth Ave, 77006 at 10:30 AM. At which time, we carpool to the parking near Allen Parkway. If you plan to meet us later, just call the CACBE Red Phone number, 281-773-3864. The picnic location is a little past the FED building in the middle grassy medium but exact place will be agreed in the next couple of days.

What to Bring
A cooler (easier on wheels), a bucket of cold KFC or other picnic appropriate item, sunblock, sunglasses, drinks and your fun old self! For food and drink, bring what you desire but cold fried chicken is easy and chips, cookies and other snacks are welcomed. Bring a folding chair unless you wish to stand all day long.

Good Attitude... "BAD CAR" is not alwasy the harshest words spoken...
